Hi Parents! February is proving to be a wonderfully full month. We have been busy learning about the letter Pp and Bb. The children had so much fun wearing their pj's on Pajama Day. They are practicing writing writing their names and are doing very well. We love singing songs about writing our letters and what sounds they make. A favorite is Magic Cc Bunny who visits often. He helps us to spot the Magic Cc in some of the letters. Another song we like to sing is "Where do you start your letters?" Ms. Yaya has been teaching us some fun songs in Music as well. We love the "Valentines Chicka Boom Boom." We are learning how to kick and dribble the ball in Fit for Faith. It's challenging and the children love it! In Chapel, we have learned the wonderful parable of the farmer sowing seeds on a path, in thistles and weeds, and on good ground. We learned that if we learn from what we hear, the seed that Jesus plants in our hearts (good ground) will grow as He intended and our lives will produce good fruit. We learned the story of how a little boy shared his lunch of 2 fishes and 5 loaves of bread and Jesus used it to feed 5,000 with plenty of leftovers. Wow, a little boy of much older than the children was able to help Jesus! Our Valentines Day Party was fun. The children were happy to pass out their Valentines to the others. They worked hard getting their Valentines bags ready. The bags turned out so cute. They had fun graphing, estimating, and building with candy conversation hearts. And of course eating them! We concluded our party with decorating and eating a sweet treat.
Coming up, we'll be learning about the letters Rr and Kk. We're going to have fun with rockets and keys as well as other activities to reinforce these letters. February16 and 17 is Chick-fil-la Day so if your child is participating, you will not need to send in a lunch.
