Rainbow day was so colorful. We reviewed our color words. Using clip boards we went on a color hunt and recorded the colors we saw. God has made such a beautiful and colorful world.

We have had fun watching and tending to our garden. We planted lettus and carrots. We have harvested lettus many times. Today we harvested our carrots. Yum!! Thank you Mrs. Lois for teaching us about God's wonderful world.
This week will start with a splash. Tuesday is Splash Day. Wear your bathing suit to school and put sunscrean on before you come to school.. We will start the fun after lunch and finish with a popcycle. We will continue counting all around us. We are learning so many sight words. Show and share this week is child's choice. It must fit in their backpack.
This is our last review week. We are looking at letters (R,N,H,E,Y,Z). We will focus on recognizing letters and their sounds. We are finishing up with number recognition up to 20 and counting up to 30. We will continue with our sight words. And finish our week with a Cinco de Mayo celebration.
Next week we will have splash day on Tuesday. It is sure to be a big "splash".
Last week it was so "sweet" to learn about honey bees from two brothers who are in Four H. They told us how the beekeepers take care of their hives and collect the honey. The bees don't just make honey. They help pollenate the flowers too. They wear special clothes to protect themselves and use unique tools to collect the honey. We tasted honey on toast, yum.
Smile it is picture day tomorrow. Thursday, April 20th is picture day for Junior K.
What a HAPPY week we will have with letter H. Henrietta Hippo will teach us about the H sound. We will hunt for h’s everywhere. We will have hat day on Wednesday. Wear your favorite hat. We will learn about taking care of God’s wonderful world. Reduce, reuse, and recycle. We will continue learning our sight words and simple addition problems. We will finish up our week with a Hullabaloo where we will serve hamburgers and hotdogs and wear our hilarious hats that we made ourselves
This week we are learning letter E. Easter begins with E. What is Easter all about you say? We will find out this week as we walk through Holy week together. Every child will need an egg carton to collect eggs in. No need to send a basket. We will have a special show and share. I will send home an empty egg. Help your child find something to put in the egg. We will shake it and try to figure out what is in it. We will have show and share with our eggs on Thursday. No school on Friday.
Yippy the Yellow Yak will teach us about letter Y this week. We will have yellow day on Wednesday. Wear something yellow. We will continue learning about seeds, plants and what happens in the spring time. March definitely went out like a lion. We saw that Jesus entered Jerusalem and the crowds laid palm branches for him to walk on. We will walk through the events of Holy week. Good news for all who believe.
This week we will learn about letter R from Rowdy the Rodeo Rat. We will have Wester day on Thursday. We will ride and get our picture taken on a pony. Then we will have our own Rodeo.
This week we learned two new concepts. Solids and liquids then we made Obleck which can act as both. It was so fun to play with. We also learned about living and nonliving. We measured our living worms and then we measured nonliving gummy worms then took a bite and measured again, and again until the worm was gone. Science and math never tasted so good.
This week with letter K Katie the kangaroo will teach us to be kind. Katie loves to fly kites and play with her friend Kirby. We will have a presentaion on worms and then prepare a tub and create a habitat for some worms. We will do many fun activites to celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday on March 2nd. We will look at and read some of his books. We have had fun with weather and wind. We see evidence of wind all around us. Now the question is...will March come in like a lion or a lamb?
Congrats!!!! Letters Q and U got married. Q will not go anywhere without U. They are such a wonderful couple.
Wow, we are learning letter W this week. Willy and Wanda Walrus will have a wedding this week. Letter Q and U are getting married too. She (letter Q) will not go anywhere without letter U. Weddings, worms. walrus, water and windy weather, what a whirlwind of a week we will have.
Today we played a game about two special Presidents. We answered questions about the President by holding up our Abe or George puppet. It was fun challenging our knowledge about these two important people.
This week we have had fun with Quila the Queen and letter Q. She is so quirky. We will not have school on Friday. Enjoy a long weekend. See you on Tuesday.
We recovered from our "Chicken Pox" from last week with letter X. This week we will learn about letter V with Victor the Vulture. Our Valentines Party is on Friday, February 10th. It is sure to be a fun day ending with valentine snowcones.
Thankyou for the Surprise Birthday Party. I loved the cards and cupcake. Most of all I love the children. They made a special day even more special!!!! The children are God's blesing. Thankyou for sharing them with us at FLDS
This week we will learn about letter X from Foxy Roxy. We will also review letters J,B,S,U, and M. We will learn about Jesus power at chapel. Wednesday will be pink and or white day. Wear pink and white. Thursday the Dental Hygienist will come to teach us about caring for our teeth. It is sure to be an EXCITING week.
This week Marvin the Monkey will teach us about letter M. We will munch on muffins, sort mittens, and wear mustaches. What a marvelous week. Thank you all for coming to open house Tuesday. It was great to see you and have the kids show off their work.
